Abstract

In this article I show some of the tensions and questions of the search for missing persons that I find relevant to discuss, from two ways of conceiving the search: the humanitarian and the legal. I present its characteristics, putting the center of gravity in the first to show that, although they have been constructed in a separate and exclusive way, this is a false dilemma that should be deconstructed. I base my affirmations in the work of accompaniment and collaborative research that I have developed over the last two years with collectives and relatives in search within the framework of my membership of the Research Group in Social and Forensic Anthropology (GIASF).
