PLANEJAMENTO E COORDENAÇÃO DE OPERAÇÕES EM HOSPITAIS DE ATENDIMENTO ELETIVO: UMA REVISÃO DA LITERATURA SOBRE GESTÃO DE LISTA DE ESPERA

Este artigo realizou uma revisão da literatura sobre artefatos de gestão pertinentes ao planejamento e coordenação de operações para serviços hospitalares eletivos e, mais especificamente, para gestão de suas listas de espera. O estudo sobre a gestão dessas listas justifica-se em função das exigências por mais eficiência e qualidade nesse atendimento, além da tensão entre capacidades de atendimento e níveis crescentes de demanda por tais serviços. Inicialmente, a revisão resultou em quatro classes temáticas: gestão de lista de espera; admissão e alta hospitalar; gestão de leitos; e, sequenciamento do acionamento de recursos críticos. Em seguida, esse trabalho teve prosseguimento com o enfoque na classe gestão de lista de espera, que, por sua vez, apresentou seus aspectos relevantes agrupados em quatro temas: mensuração dos tempos de espera; causas de variação dos tempos; impactos dos tempos de espera; e, soluções para a gestão de filas e tempo de espera. Por fim, o artigo discute e estabelece pontes entre esses temas com vistas a contribuir para o arcabouço conceitual sobre serviços hospitalares eletivos.
