CONCEPÇÕES EM TORNO DA PROFISSÃO DE SECRETARIADO EXECUTIVO: UMA ANÁLISE DISCURSIVA CRÍTICA

Abstract

This study is about a qualitative research that aims to critically analyze certain discourses about the profession of Executive Secretariat. To reach the objectives set, we start with a brief explanation about that profession, about the theory of Critical Discourse Analysis and about the concept of identity. In a second moment, we seek to define the activities performed by an executive secretary and to identify "What is the Executive Secretariat" in the conception of the subjects participating in the research. As a method of work, we use an online questionnaire for a group of forty people, who has an university degree or is doing an university course and who does not work in the secretarial area. As a guiding theory and method of analysis, we use the Resende and Ramalho`s studies (2006) about Critical Discourse Analysis. Through the analysis carried out was possible to verify the representation of the Executive Secretariat as an essential professional for an organization, and as a profession related to executive assistance, but according to the research subjects, the main tasks are related to the agenda`s organization and the management of the activities of its superior, which does not fit with the professional duties set out in the regulation`s law of this profession.
