The following is a translation of parts of the book Klangdramaturgie. Studien zur theatralen Orchesterkomposition in Wagners “Ring des Nibelungens”, by Tobias Janz. The work studies in detail Richard Wagner’s musical dramaturgy in the Ring cycle.
