About the Journal

Focus and scope: Em Tempo de Histórias is a journal edited by M.A. and PhD candidates at the History department at the University of Brasília. Established in 2002, it is hosted at the university’s non-profit academic journals web base, with open access. The journal does not charge authors with fees regarding the review, edition and publication of their texts. Our goals are: a) divulging partial or final results obtained from research projects in the area of History; b) stimulating the debate of theoretical and methodological topics concerning History and its adjacencies; c) divulging publications, comments, and documents related to historical research. (ISSN 2316-1191)

Peer-review process: After submitted to the journal, all texts will undergo a pre-analysis process to scan whether they follow all the formatting exigencies. In case of unapproval, the texts will be immediately returned to their authors. All approved texts will be assigned one external area-competent reviewer. It is important to emphasize that we use a blind peer-review process, preserving the identities of both the author and the referee. As soon as the appraisal is concluded, the text will be sent back to the author together with an evaluation report, which communicates to the author whether the text was approved, rejected or demanding corrections. Whenever texts demand corrections, authors are given a deadline to send a corrected version of the document. The final decision about the publication of the article is in charge of the Editor in Chief, who, based on the appraisals must take into consideration the adequacy of the text to the journal's thematic scope, adherence to the editorial guide-lines, and originality.

Periodicity: Em Tempo de Histórias is a semestral digital open-access journal.
