Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Papers submitted for publication must be submitted in standard Word for Windows (.doc) format, in Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line space. Do not insert a line space between paragraphs. It is recommended that the entire article does not exceed 20 pages. Quotations of more than three lines should appear in size 10 and with a 4cm indent.

Any footnotes should be in Times New Roman, size 10 and single spaced.

The title should be in upper case, bold and centered, and below it should appear the name of the author or authors, followed by the name of their institution(s).

The sections should be numbered, bold and only with the first letter capitalized.

Papers to be submitted for publication may be written in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and possibly Italian, preceded by an abstract (in English) and resumo (in Portuguese), both of about 100 words, followed by up to six  key-words.

References cited in the text should be organized in alphabetical order based on authors' last names and presented at the end of the paper.
