    Abya-Yala: Journal on Access to Justice and Rights in the Americas

    ABYA-YALA - JOURNAL ON ACCESS TO JUSTICE AND RIGHTS IN THE AMERICAS (ISSN 2526-6675/ Qualis Capes: A3) is an academic journal organized by the Laboratory of Access to Justice and Inequalities - LADES (Law/UnB). Edited in collaboration with the Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios Superiores en Antropología Social (CIESAS) of Mexico and the Graduate Program in Agrarian Law of the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). The journal focuses on the theme of access to justice and rights in the Americas and seeks to bring together multi- and interdisciplinary, theoretical, empirical and comparative studies carried out in the most different countries of the continent. Its proposal is to stimulate and give flow to empirical and comparative studies and research in the thematic area, advocating qualitative approaches and multicultural, intersectional and critical perspectives. The journal also proposes to make room, from the American regional perspective, for dialogue with other regions of the world, mainly with countries in the global south.

    For the development of its activities and composition of its scientific council, the journal also counts on the collaboration of CIESAS-Mexico and members of the Latin American Network of Legal Anthropology (RELAJU).

    The journal receives articles continuously, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and adopts the system of double-blind review. The guidelines for submission can be checked in http://periodicos.unb.br/index.php/abya/about/submissions

    The magazine ended its activities with the publication of its last issue v. 7 n. 1 (2023), we would like to reaffirm that thanks to the collaboration of authors and evaluators, our journal was a great international success. We appreciate the partnership over the last few years.

The journal publishes in Portuguese, English, Spanish, and French.

  • Caderno de Squibs: Temas em estudos formais da linguagem

    O Caderno de Squibs: Temas em estudos formais da linguagem, vinculado à Universidade de Brasília (UnB), publica trabalhos na área de Teoria e Análise Linguística com foco em Gramática, Teoria e Análise. Visa dar visibilidade a pesquisas em andamento ou concluídas, desenvolvidas na perspectiva formal da linguagem, por pesquisadores vinculados a instituições de ensino e pesquisa nacionais e internacionais. Embora a revista dê ênfase à publicação de squibs, o periódico também aceita a submissão de artigos. Em linhas gerais, um squib é definido como um pequeno artigo que discute um conjunto de dados ou uma questão teórica pontual. 

     

    "Um squib é um texto curto que, geralmente, traz questões pontuais. Pode trazer uma reflexão crítica sobre aspectos internos de uma teoria ou, ainda, apresentar um conjunto de dados que servem para confirmar as previsões de uma teoria ou que se configuram como problemas para essa teoria. Os problemas apontados no squib podem ou não ser resolvidos. Além dessas questões teóricas e empíricas, um squib também pode servir para trazer à luz para a comunidade científica uma literatura pouco conhecida ou esquecida, em que questões importantes ou dados relevantes são discutidos." (Marcus Lunguinho.     Das Questões

    Das Questões journal focuses on thought edging between translation and invention. It intends to bring about the prolegomena to any solution, both to solutions that explain away the problem and to solutions that intensify the quest. There is an element of impertinence and chutzpah to every question even phrased in an innocent manner - the journal tries and host the recalcitrant. The journal is dedicated to a public that comes, to new nexûs, and their new connections. It is a journal navigating around questions - the real ones, the imaginary ons, the virtual ones and the ones already fully solved. Hence, no commitment to solutions is required. The journal is often on a selected topic. In these cases, the call for contributions specify a question. Surely, a question brings in several; we take care of this proliferation.

  • Ecolinguística: Revista brasileira de ecologia e linguagem (ECO-REBEL)

    ECO-REBEL publicará preferencialmente ensaios que insiram o estudo dos fenômenos da linguagem na visão ecológica de mundo. Isso significa que ela pode cobrir um vasto leque de disciplinas parcelares, começando pela própria linguística, mas também áreas conexas como antropologia, sociologia, psicologia, filosofia, contanto que partam dessa visão ecológica de mundo. Tradicionalmente, a ecolinguística em geral tem se dedicado a temas ambientais, no sentido do ambientalismo. ECO-REBEL, tratará disso também, sobretudo via análise do discurso ecológica, nova maneira de se analisarem discursos que emergiu no seio da linguística ecossistêmica.

    The Journal Dramaturgias is a four-monthly publication of the DramaLAB (LADI-UnB) of the University of Brasília, focused on the discussion and production of events that are performance-oriented from the widening of the dramaturgy concept.     Estudos de literatura brasileira contemporânea is a scientific quarterly journal of the Grupo de Estudos em Literatura Brasileira Contemporânea (Contemporary Brazilian Literature Studies), from the Pós-graduação em Literatura (Graduate Course on Literature) of the Universidade de Brasília (University of Brasília). Since 1999, when it started to be issued, the journal is committed to raise a critical debate on the contemporary literature produced in Brazil, in its varied manifestations, departing from many theoretical and methodological approaches, with an open dialogue with other literatures and other kinds of artistic expression. Its content is intended, in particular, to researchers, professors and students interested in contemporary Brazilian literature.

    InSURgência: revista de direitos e movimentos sociais [InSURgence: rights and social movements journal], linked to the Instituto de Pesquisa, Direitos e Movimentos Sociais - IPDMS  [Institute for Research, Rights and Social Movements] and linked to the Programa de Pós-Graduação em Direitos Humanos e Cidadania da Universidade de Brasília (PPGDH/UnB) [Graduate Program in Human Rights and Citizenship at the University of Brasilia] aims to disseminate unpublished theoretical production regarding the theme “rights and social movements”.     Launched in 2013, the journal História, historias is a publication of the University of Brasilia Department of History Graduate Program (UnB/PPGHIS). The journal publishes original articles and book reviews (portuguese, spanish, english and french) within the scope of history and related areas. It is an open access journal. No fees are charged from authors neither for peer review nor publication. Its goal is to be a national and international open channel for innovative research developed particularly by historians. The abbreviated title is hh. It shall be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strip.

    Journal of Law and Regulation

    The Journal of Law and Regulation publishes two annual issues released on May and October uninterrupted since May 2015. The Journal of Law and Regulation mission is to publish legal and interdisciplinary analyses on regulated sectors phenomena, such as, but not limited to, sanitation, education, health, energy, natural resources, telecommunications, land transportation, civil aviation, manufacturing, agriculture, shipping, navigation and navigable waters, trade and exchange, financial system, and so forth, emphasizing national and foreign experiences through the lenses of regulatory theories. The journal accepts articles in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and Italian, and welcomes the interdisciplinary approach, especially the intersection of law, economics, political sciences, planning, among other fellow disciplines. We welcome paper submissions all year round. They will undergo rigorous peer review process by anonymous refereeing of independent expert referees. The Journal of Law and Regulation is a journal maintained by the University of Brasilia and edited by the School of Law Center on Law and Regulation. It does not charge for processing, submission, or publishing the articles. Authors are allowed to hold the copyright and publishing rights of their papers without restrictions. The journal adopts structured abstracts with clear indication of purpose, methodology/approach/design, findings, practical implications, and originality/value of the papers. Keywords should depict the actual content of the article and be limited to five, according to the ABNT NBR 6028 standard.   • Psicologia: Teoria e Pesquisa

    Psychology: Theory and Research publishes original works linked to four main thematic areas:

    Behavioural Sciences and Neurosciences;

    Developmental and School Psychology;

    Clinical Psychology and Culture;

    Social, Work and Organisational Psychology.

    Manuscripts should fall into the following categories: empirical studies, literature reviews, theoretical articles and methodological articles. Signed articles are the sole responsibility of the authors and the opinions and judgements contained therein do not necessarily express the positions of the Editorial Board.

    The journal has now reached the 40-volume mark and has published more than 1,000 articles on the Scielo platform. Professors Elaine Rabelo Neiva and Deise Matos do Amparo hold the positions of editor-in-chief and executive editor, respectively.     The Revista Brasileira de Agroecologia (Brazilian Journal of Agroecology - RBA) is published by the Brazilian Association of Agroecology (Associação Brasileira de Agroecologia - ABA-Agroecologia), in cooperation with the Graduate Program in Environment and Rural Development (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Rural - PPG MADER) at the University of Brasília (Universidade de Brasília - UnB). The RBA is an Open Access Journal, with no charges for reading or publishing.

    Publishes unpublished articles, in Agroecology and related areas, quarterly and also in special thematic issues, in Portuguese, Spanish and English. It promotes an open and citizen science, adopting an editorial policy that addresses diversity, equity and inclusion, being a communication channel that aims to increase the visibility of knowledge built in Agroecology in Brazil and Latin America.

    Agroecology is understood as a scientific, theoretical, practical and methodological approach, which is based on different areas of knowledge, in an inter and transdisciplinary perspective, proposing to study development processes from an ecological and sociocultural perspective with the aim of supporting the transition from conventional models of agriculture and rural development to styles of agriculture and rural development that are healthy and sustainable.

  • Brazilian Journal for Philosophy of Religion

    A Revista Brasileira de Filosofia da Religião tem como objetivo a divulgação de textos de filosofia – elaborados de forma sistemática ou com base na história do pensamento – sobre o problema religioso ou a questão de Deus. Os temas incluem questões como transcendência, liberdade, mal, racionalidade da crença religiosa, volta da fé ao espaço público, ateísmo, relação entre religião e ciência, entre outros. A revista se caracteriza pela abordagem pluralista em termos de métodos de reflexão (fenomenológico, analítico, histórico, dialectico, hermenêutico, etc.), fomentando o diálogo frutífero entre as diferentes perspectivas filosóficas sobre a religião. Periodicamente são organizados dossiês temáticos, na sua maior parte, publicando artigos que são frutos de eventos vinculados à ABFR. Os artigos de temática geral são aceitos em fluxo contínuo.     Revista Brasileira de Linguística Antropológica (RBLA) is a semi-anual journal published by the Laboratório de Línguas Indígenas, Instituto de Letras, University of Brasília. Founded in 2009 by Aryon Dall'Igna Rodrigues and Ana Suelly Arruda Câmara Cabral, the journal aims to be a fruitful forum for scholarly studies on the languages and cultures of native peoples of the Americas, with special focus on the South American continent. Its main concerns are articles, research reports, field reports, bibliographical essays, and reviews of linguistic studies, highlighting the interface between language and culture in descriptive or historical perspectives. It publishes studies on a variety of aspects of the native languages and cultures, among which lexicon, phonology, grammar, semantic systems and fields, cultural classifications of plants and animals, ethnogeography, ethnohistory, onomastics, kinship, linguistic and cultural prehistory, human genetics, language contact, language obsolescence and language revitalization processes, text and discourse analyses, verbal arts, ritual language, and linguistic expressions of gender distinctions.     Law, State and Telecommunications Review

    The Law, State and Telecommunications Review publishes two annual issues released on May and October since May 2018 and one annual issue released on May uninterruptedly since May 2009. The journal mission is to publish legal and interdisciplinary analyses on telecommunications and communications focused on policy and regulation of communications services, telecommunications services, Internet-based services and rights, such as the right to communicate, to publish, to private exchange, to design communication platforms, and other related topics, such as privacy, intellectual property, universal access, convergence, satellite and spectrum regulation, telecommunication licensing and regulatory design, independent agencies, deregulation, e-commerce, big data, net neutrality, and so forth, with emphasis on national and foreign experiences through the lenses of legal and regulatory theories. It accepts submissions in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. It does not charge for processing, submission, or publishing the articles. Authors are allowed to hold the copyright of their paper without restrictions. We welcome paper submissions all year round. They will undergo rigorous peer review process by anonymous refereeing of independent expert referees. The Law, State and Telecommunications Review is a journal maintained by the University of Brasilia and edited by the Telecommunications Law Research Group of the School of Law Center on Law and Regulation.   • Journal of Study and Research on the Americas

    The Journal of Studies and Research on the Americas (ISSN 1984-1639) is a four-monthly publication of the Department of Latin American Studies (ELA) of the University of Brasília (UnB), which accepts works in the format of essays (free texts that include the discussion of the Latin American Social Sciences of specific subjects), critical reviews (of the literature on subjects of interest for the development of the Latin American Social Sciences) and theoretical studies (analysis and theoretical and empirical discussions that contribute to the understanding of existing models and elicit elaborations of hypotheses for future research) in the form of original and unpublished articles produced by researchers with consolidated academic trajectory and within the scope and scope of the journal.

    The Journal only receive publication submitted by authors and authors with a minimum doctoral degree. For authors who do not have such a degree, it is recommended that the article be written and signed in co-authorship with the supervisor or supervisor of the dissertation or thesis.

    The Journal also accepts book reviews and interviews. Papers can be submitted at any time of the year in Portuguese, Spanish and English (they may also be published in other languages ”‹”‹at the discretion of the editorial committee).

  • Journal of Modern and Contemporary Philosophy

    The Revista de Filosofia Moderna e Contemporânea - RFMC (Journal of Modern and Contemporary Philosophy) is an online open-access journal, published three times a year since 2013 by the Department of Philosophy and the Graduate Program in Philosophy of the University of Brasilia (UnB). The RFMC aims to publish original scholar articles from all fields of philosophical inquiry, focused on the interpretation of the assumptions and developments of the modern tradition, and the current debates of philosophy. In this sense, studies in the history of philosophy are welcome, as well as articles on ongoing philosophical discussions in the contemporary world, linked either to continental, analytical, non-Western approaches  or to comparative perspectives. It also publishes reviews of recently released philosophy books and translations into Portuguese of articles or essays of notorious philosophical relevance. All articles are submitted to the double-blind review process. It only accepts contributions written in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, Italian or German, from authors that hold a Ph.D. or M.A.

    Nota de Esclarecimento do Periódico Eletrônico Tempo-Técnica-Território - CIGA - GEA- UnB

    Prezados e prezadas autores (as) e colaboradores (as) da Revista TTT. 

    Inicialmente uma palavra de agradecimento a todos vocês, às instituições de apoio e às contribuições científicas que possibilitaram o nosso periódico nestes 11 (onze) anos de atividades. Por motivos que fogem ao nosso controle imediato, precisamos encerrar as atividades da Revista TTT e, pedimos desculpas pelos transtornos que eventualmente esta ação possa causar.

    Contribuir para a institucionalização das comunidades científicas brasileiras e brasilienses, assim como de contribuições internacionais, por meio da divulgação do conhecimento produzido nessa área, bem como promover o intercâmbio, o debate teórico e empírico entre autores e leitores do conhecimento divulgado, e contribuir para o aumento da produção de conhecimento de Cartografia Aplicada e de Estudos Geográficos, assim como, de áreas afins. Terá contribuições científicas inéditas, com artigos de caráter empírico e ensaios teóricos, com textos relevantes, ou seja, que apresente alguma contribuição para o avanço do conhecimento científico e/ou para aplicação prática e tenha sido elaborado com rigor científico.

    Letra Capital publica trabalhos acadêmicos originais e inéditos em português, inglês ou espanhol, nas áreas de Teoria e Análise Linguística e Linguagem e Sociedade.

  • Revista Negativo

    PERIÓDICO DESATIVADO

    Negativo é uma revista multidisciplinar que pretende discutir temas e questões contemporâneas relacionadas ao cinema e às artes e suas possíveis interfaces com a filosofia, compreendendo a última como uma tradição indisciplinada que, a despeito das divisões históricas (e correntes) em campos específicos de conhecimento, insiste em questioná-las, quando não aboli-las. Por essa razão, a revista aposta no diálogo entre áreas, e entre especialistas e não-especialistas, e milita para a constituição de espaços de reflexão nos quais o conhecimento e os interesses não se encerrem em compartimentos estanques, sejam eles materiais e palpáveis, como páginas impressas e departamentos universitários, sejam eles virtuais ou imaginários, como revistas online e linhas de pesquisa. Tendo periodicidade semestral, a revista propõe-se a publicar artigos originais, bem como ensaios, resenhas, entrevistas, traduções e artigos de crítica.

    A Revista XIX: artes e técnicas em transformação é um veículo de divulgação de conhecimentos, nacional e internacional, que almeja fomentar a discussão do Oitocentismo no Brasil e no mundo, bem como suas consequências e interpretações posteriores.  Publica, em línguas portuguesa e francesa, artigos, ensaios e traduções que versem sobre o multifacetado século XIX, fulcral para a compreensão da contemporaneidade.

  • Revista Perspectivas do Desenvolvimento

    The Journal "Perspectives on Development: a multidimensional focus" is a publication which comprises postgraduate students of the Development, Society and International Cooperation Programme, affiliated to the Center of Advanced and Multidisciplinary Studies of the University of Brasília (PPGDSCI/CEAM/UnB). It aims to offer an interdisciplinary analysis about development to the academic community and policy-makers, promoting an exchange from a diversity of views raised by this subject. The proposed approach goes beyond the economic dimension of development, fostering debate from several interfaces brought by the human and social sciences, philosophy, legal studies and other related.

  • Savannah Journal of Research and Development

    Savannah Journal of Research and Development é uma revista eletrônica editada semestralmente pela Universidade de Brasília. Destina-se aos pesquisadores que atuam nas áreas de Ciência e Tecnologia de Alimentos, Engenharia Agrícola, Engenharia Florestal, Gestão do Agronegócio, Manejo do Solo e da Água, Produção Animal, Produção Vegetal e Saúde Animal e tem como missão divulgar o conhecimento técnico-científico de interesse da academia e comunidade científica, bem como da sociedade civil.

  • Temporal - prática e pensamento contemporâneos

    PERIÓDICO DESATIVADO

    O primeiro número da Revista Temporal - prática e pensamento contemporâneo traz a público uma tentativa de atritar materiais diversos às tramas conceituais, expondo, sem descurar do cuidado filológico exegético, a filosofia a questionamentos mais amplos, a materiais heterogêneos, impuros. Como primeira experiência, pode parecer que não nos distanciamos tanto quanto queríamos de uma publicação padrão para a área, ou para as diversas áreas acadêmicas, sucumbindo, mais uma vez, à  clausura do especialista, com artigos cujos diálogos só podem ser contrapostos entre si de forma externa a cada argumentação. As dificuldades eram e são evidentes, em um momento em que, ao declínio da figura do intelectual, muitas vezes algo generalista, sobrepõe-se o domínio do especialista, geralmente hermético e fechado no seu circuito. Mas, não perder de vistas a carpintaria silenciosa do conceito, não avançar por sobre o trabalho cinzento do filólogo, também é um modo de escapar às facilidades de um pensamento estéril, de romper os limites impostos por um agenciamento quantitativo estranho aos movimentos construtivos da reflexão. Talvez, dessa insistência em pôr-se à disposição, dessa dificuldade intrínseca ao fazer filosofia como ciência rigorosa, possa surgir um outro espaço. 

  • PHAINE: Revista de Estudos sobre Antiguidade

    PERIÓDICO DESATIVADO

    A Revista Phaine resulta de uma preocupação hermenêutica em reler a Antiguidade Greco-Romana a partir de uma perspectiva transdisciplinar. A complexidade cultural deste vasto período histórico, incompatível com a moderna divisão escolástica dos saberes, coloca, pois, como imperativo metodológico uma reinterpretação não só constante e nunca terminada, como também descentrada. O projeto nasceu do alinhamento de membros do grupo internacional de pesquisa Cátedra UNESCO Archai que reúne, entre outros, jovens pesquisadores dos cursos de História, Filosofia e Letras da UnB. A Phaine apresenta-se como um projeto inovador que tem como principal objetivo criar, na comunidade acadêmica, uma plataforma de divulgação científica interdisciplinar dedicada a alunos de graduação e pós-graduação.

  • Traduzires

    PERIÓDICO DESATIVADO

    Traduzires é um veículo de divulgação do pensamento teórico sobre a tradução, assim como de questionamentos ligados à prática tradutória. Publicada semestralmente pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos da Tradução - POSTRAD, da Universidade de Brasília - UnB, ela tem como objetivo  difundir as contribuições do desenvolvimento do pensamento científico no campo dos Estudos da Tradução, assim como de áreas afins do conhecimento, que permitam relativizar as fronteiras das Ciências Humanas para a interdisciplinaridade necessária aos estudos acadêmicos contemporâneos.

  • Boletim DATALUTA

    O Boletim DATALUTA é uma publicação criada pela Rede Brasileira de Pesquisa das Lutas por Espaços e Territórios (Rede DATALUTA), atualmente mantida e vinculada ao Grupo de Estudos de Ações Coletivas, Conflitualidades e Território (GEACT) da Universidade de Brasília (UnB). Este periódico possui mais de uma década de história, configurando-se como um espaço de diálogo, divulgação e troca de conhecimento entre pesquisadores e ativistas ligados aos movimentos socioespaciais e socioterritoriais da América Latina e outras partes do mundo. Faz parte do escopo do Boletim as disputas territoriais, resistências e conflitualidades que se desenvolvem no espaço agrário, urbano, nas águas, montanhas, desertos e nas florestas. Além disso, trabalhos relacionados às identidades e relações étnico-raciais, à questão de gênero e às ações coletivas e de movimentos do campo, das florestas, das águas e das cidades também estão contemplados nas temáticas de interesse do periódico. Tendo em vista a importância de ampliar o debate e entender as realidades e contextos de diferentes espaços e territórios, são aceitas publicações em português, espanhol, francês e inglês. No último Qualis Capes, o Boletim foi avaliado com nota A3 na área de Geografia. Seu Conselho Científico é constituído visando à pluralidade, portanto, é composto por pessoas de diversas formações no âmbito das ciências humanas e sociais, diferentes saberes e identidades de gênero e étnico-raciais, oriundas dos distintos biomas brasileiros, assim como, de outros países da Europa, América Latina e África.
