Pierlangela Nascimento da Cunha, indígena, Wapixana, da Comunidade da Barata localizada no município de Alto Alegre no Estado de Roraima (RR). Professora desde 1996, possui Licenciatura Intercultural com habilitação em Ciências Sociais pelo Instituto Insikiran de Formação Superior Indígena da Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR) e mestrado em Sociedade e Cultura na Amazônia pela Universidade Federal do Amazonas (UFAM).
