Call for papers: The Journal of Law and Regulation (in Portuguese, Revista de Direito Setorial e Regulatório) publishes two issues annually on May and October and its submission process is open all year round. Papers selected will be tentatively scheduled for publishing in the next issue.

Languages for submission: The Journal of Law and Regulation (in Portuguese, Revista de Direito Setorial e Regulatório) accepts submissions in the following languages: English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish. They will be published in the language of submission. Except for papers written in English, it is mandatory for authors to add an abstract in English following the abstract written in French, Portuguese or Spanish.

Formal requirements: The easiest way to follow this journal’s formal requirements is to download the template in English (click hereand replace the content with your own material. The template file contains specially formatted styles (e.g., Normal, Heading, Footer, Abstract, Subtle Emphasis, and Intense Emphasis) that will reduce the work in formatting your final submission. The following instructions are already embedded in the template, but they are transcribed below in case you prefer to apply them directly to your paper. Please use the following coordinates for the page setup: Top (1.93 cm); Bottom (1.93 cm); Inside (1,93 cm); Outside (1,52 cm); Gutter (0,36 cm); mirror margins; page size customized for width (15,24 cm) and height (22,86 cm); different odd and even pages; Layout from Edge (Header: 0,89 cm; Footer: 0,76 cm). Right margins should be justified, not ragged. Please use a 10-point Times New Roman font or, if it is unavailable, another proportional font with serifs, as close as possible in appearance to Times New Roman 10-point. On a Macintosh, use the font named Times and not Times New Roman. Also, quotations of more than two lines should be written in Times New Roman, 10, scale 90%, line spacing exactly 10 pt. Legal texts should be cited as Times New Roman, 10, scale 80%, line spacing exactly 10 pt, “Don’t add space between paragraphs of the same style” marked, indentation left 1.78 cm and right 1.78 cm. For reference purpose, please use the ABNT NBR style. If your Word version does not have that style embedded, please download the appropriate file at https://bibword.codeplex.com/, in styles, ABNT autor-data, and insert it at Program Files – Microsoft Office – Office14 – Bibliography – Style (For Windows 10, please follow these steps: C:/ - users - app data - roaming - microsoft - bibliography - style). For citation, please use the Author-Date System. Please cite by authors’ last names followed by the year of publication – list all authors’ last names for the first time, then use “et al.” for subsequent citations if there are more than two authors. If multiple articles are cited at the same time, order them alphabetically by the first author’s last name and separate the citations by semicolons. For example: (LEVY e SPILLER, 1996; PRICE e NOLL, 1998; CARLSSON, 2003; ROSE-ACKERMAN e LINDSETH, 2010). If the same author(s) has/have more than one article being cited, use chronicle order and separate the year of publication of the articles by commas. Place figures and tables close to the relevant text (or where they are referred to in the text). Captions should be Times New Roman 9-point bold.  They should be numbered (e.g., “Table 1” or “Figure 2”), centered and placed beneath the figure or table.  Please note that the words “Figure” and “Table” should be spelled out (e.g., “Figure” rather than “Fig.”) wherever they occur. If you use charts, please generate them in the Word, leaving their data embedded in the paper. Please, create your tables directly in Word. Do not copy them as figures to your paper.
