Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. General

1.1. Academic works related to the Social Sciences, mainly Citizenship, International Cooperation, Development, Human Rights and Society, which contribute to the theoretical, methodological and/or empirical improvement of the area, may be submitted.

1.2. Submitted papers must be original and cannot have been simultaneously submitted to another journal.

1.3 Papers submitted may be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

1.4 The following types of works are accepted: original research, review articles, short reports or letters, case studies, methodologies.

1.5. Submitted works will have a previous review before being submitted to the peer evaluation.

1.6. The average publication time, from submission to acceptance of the paper, is 6 months.

1.7. There are no fees for submission or evaluation of papers.

2. Content aspects of the text

It is suggested that the papers submitted present the following structure in the text:

  • Title.
  • Abstract in the original language.
  • Key words in the source language (no less than three, no more than seven).
  • Abstract and key words in English (mandatory for all papers submitted).
  • Introduction.
  • Literature review.
  • Method.
  • Results.
  • Discussion.
  • Conclusions.
  • Bibliography.

3. Technical aspects

3.1. Submissions must be written in accordance with the rules of grammar and syntax of the source language.

3.2. The following rules of citation style and bibliography are accepted

  • American Psychological Association - APA Style
  • Brazilian Association of Technical Standards - ABNT NBR 6023/2002.
  • International Organization sea Standardization - ISO 690.

3.3. The works submitted must be in A4 format

3.4. It is suggested that the papers submitted should be over 3000 words (excluding references, tables and notes).

3.5. The text of papers submitted should be single-spaced; 12 point font size; use italics instead of underlining (except in URLs); and all illustrations, figures and tables should be placed in the appropriate places in the text, rather than at the end.

3.6. Submitted papers should be sent as an electronic file with a DOC extension.

3.7. The file with the text of the work submitted cannot present any information or express reference to the authors.

3.8. The data of the authors should only be registered in the system during the submission process.

3.9. All authors must include their ORCID identifier. It is important that each ORCID record indicates: workplace, academic training and publications.

3.10. Submitted papers will be sent through the online platform.

3.11. During the submission process, complementary files must be inserted (declaration of originality, other research files, etc.).
