Abstract

The space perception of the urban situations becomes fundamental for the best knowledge of the reality, propitiating a more punctual and effective application of politics and instruments of urban politics. To understand the dynamics of occupation of the urban space is fundamental for the application of actions that minimize the risk situations and of social tension. The present work seeks to establish the correlation between the social exclusion / inclusion and the profile of urban occupation. as the intention of understanding the socioeconomic distribution of the population when going away of CBD (Central Business District). it was used as spatial base the census urban sectors and the data of the Demographic Brazilian Census of 2000. In agreement with Sposati (2000); Genovez (2002); Koga (2003); Ribeiro (2003), can be made calculations of simple and composed social exclusion / inclusion index spatially based on the distribution of income, education level, environmental conditions, level of equality. Associate to those indexes the analysis of the urban profile (Bertaud, 2004), that it shows the distribution of lands for inhabitant and the population density, starting from CBD, for kilometer. It can be verified, also, the relationship among the social exclusion / inclusion as it goes away of CBD. For the crossings of the several data its were used tools of geoprocessing as analysis by overlay, algebra of maps. zonal analyses. The obtained results show that the more distant of CBD worse they are the conditions of life of the population. The same ones allowed to measure the exclusion degree in function of the distance to CDB and in relation to the urban profile. The application of the structured modelling in the elements previously described, it will allow the development of an analytical model that it seeks to supply a new vision for the urban planning of the most critical socioeconomically areas, what can come to allow the elaboration of proposals that its seek to the minimization of the urban tensions, giving life conditions worthier and socially more inclusive to the populations that there inhabit.
